Christmas at the beach

Still it seems quite weird to me to celebrate Christmas at the beach with sun and barbecue and not with cold weather and inside where its nicely warm near the fireplace. Definitely no snow at Christmas. Instead a temperature of 25 Celsius degree that feels like 40.  As a kid I always wished my birthday would be in summer like my brothers and finally here I could celebrate my second birthday in this time of the year :) But after that I never really got into this special kind of mood that is so normal for me around this time. When the cold weather makes everyone staying inside and the streets lonely, the snow is like a nice carpet lying on everything - even the time. Its quiet and calm. And at the same time everyone is rushing around you to get the last Christmas presents, but still it feels peaceful. That's how I am experiencing this time of the year normally, but here...everything is different. I am here in Te Puke since middle of October now and working with the kiwifru...

New Zealand VIII

Finally on the North Island Where did I stopped? I left Blenheim at the end of August. On the 24th of August Catherine, Anna and me got into my car and drove down to Christchurch. With these two girls I spent beautiful last weeks in this place. Almost everything there sucked. Alex, the house, my boss, the work,...but then I met two of the most amazing people. At all, there happened a lot in these days. After all the Germans left, there came a lot of South American into the house and I became close friends with Angie and Yamila from Uruguay. After just one week they decided to go to Nelson, so that they could work in another space, because the work on the vineyards was because of the weather quite hard. I was really sad that they left me, but I was really sure, that I'm gonna see them again soon =) I visited them just two weeks later and celebrated Angies birthday with them in Nelson. I became friends with Catherine, Anna, Regina, Adrian and 'Jasmine' and Herm...
